A comprehensive list of breastfeeding resources in Australia and around the world, compiled and maintained at the Joyous Birth online forum. Includes sites, phone numbers, online footage, books, articles, FAQs, etc.

Australian Breastfeeding Association
The online home of The ABA. Complete with information about the association, how to train with them, how to find support and assistance with breastfeeding, mountains of information regarding breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding Art
Beautiful and funky artwork featuring women and goddesses breastfeeding. A free picture book entitled "What Kids Eat" is available for download, and you are able to purchase your very own copies of the artwork.

Breastfeeding.com
An online haven of information and opportunities for interaction with lactation consultants and other breastfeeding mothers. Site include stacks of photos, videos, as well as slideshows and games, a section for professionals, lists of celebrities who breastfeed, and blogs by breastfeeding "experts".

Breastfeeding Guru
Breastfeeding Guru is a place for pregnant and already nursing mothers to find community, research based information and education, product reviews, advocacy, and support. Please excuse us while we are still under construction and in a beta format. Feel free to join in or start up discussion in our forums. Look forward to the latest in breastfeeding research from the ILCA conference, hot product reviews, and the addition of a special section for Mom's to add their own breastfeeding stories and photos.

Breastfeeding Mums is where you'll find an abundance of unique and informative pregnancy, birth, brestfeeding and baby articles, plus pregnancy and breastfeeding photo galleries, videos, stories and much more!

Breastfeeding Online
A website which recognises that breastfeeding is a human rights and feminist issue, as well as women's issue. The site aims to help empower women to choose to breastfeed and to educate society at large about the importance and benefits of breastfeeding

Breastfeeding Task Force
This is the website of The Breastfeeding Task Force of Greater Los Angeles, which is dedicated to improving the health and well being of infants and families through education, outreach, and advocacy to promote and support breastfeeding.


Dr Jack Newman
The website of a Canadian pediatrician with a passion for breastfeeding, who has been practicing medicine since 1970. Includes helpful footage, images, articles and FAQs. Newman established the first hospital-based breastfeeding clinic in Canada in 1984, and is a consultant with UNICEF's Baby Friendly Hosptail Initiative.

Global Breastfeeding
Created by Ted Greiner, and academic with a particular interest in nutrition and breastfeeding. Includes art gallery, podcasts, a blog, and powerpoint presentations. The site aims to make the world a place where breastfeeding works better for mothers and babies.

ibreastfed.com
A fabulous collection of personal breastfeeding stories from mothers who have overcome a wide range of challenges to feed their babies. A must read for all parents. Includes a fabulous photo gallery as well.

International Breastfeeding Journal
The online home of a comprehensive collection of academic articles and research papers concerning breastfeeding. All articles are open to the public to read, download and quote.

Kellymom
A one stop online source for anything and everything you need or want to know about breastfeeding. The site was developed to provide evidence-based information on breastfeeding, but also sleep and parenting.

La Leche League
The online home of North Americas' national breastfeeding association. Includes tons of breastfeeding resources and publications.

Lactivist
Created by a lactation activist, the lactivist is a warehouse of information about breastfeeding. Contains lists of online resources, suggestions for solutions to breastfeeding difficulties, and more.

Lavtivists.org
A site dedicated to encouraging women not to be embarrassed by breastfeeding. Includes great banners for websites and forum signatures. The site is still under development and if you can lend a hand be sure to contact them.

Mama Knows Breast
The website of Andi Silverman, a journalist, lawyer, and breastfeeding mother. Andi is the author of a book

ProMoM
Promotion of Mother's Milk, Inc. (ProMoM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing public awareness and public acceptance of breastfeeding.
