Lindy: "Sarah is supportive and caring and fearless!!" (Doula)
Sarah: "Sarah is very caring and attentive. She was always happy to help with anything she could, whether it be information, company on a walk or a foot massage. She wasn’t just supportive during labour, she was also a great support during pregnancy and after birth: coming over with chocolate and going on walks with me. There wasn’t anything too big or too small to ask her to help with. During my postpartum period Sarah would come over and hold my baby for me so that I could shower alone, eat alone, have a break from holding the baby. She also helped me get my two year old ready for bed at nights. The only thing I would change about Sarah’s care was that she had have been able to make it in time to see the birth! I had a very fast labour! Even though she missed the birth I would still highly recommend Sarah’s birth serving skills to other women. It was the overall care, not just during birth that made all the difference. ” (Homebirth after Vaginal Hospital Birth Mother)
April: "Sarah was always available and willing to chat about any fears, thoughts or questions I had. As well as being as excited as I was, if not more, about the upcoming birth. And then there was the blessingway, organised and run by her, was an awesome day. The was truly a great support. Always willing to listen to anything I brought up about the birth or breastfeeding. She was most helpful in assisting us to find more information about freebirth and lotus birth. Sarah was willing to be incredibly uninvolved in the birth (I did not want to be touched, held, patted, massaged etc) and was exactly what I needed - the presence of a woman who had birthed before. She also kept us company between the contractions and was by our sides tirelessly as things got boring, tedious and then downright awful (hello transition). If the tireless support wasn't enough, Sarah was also great with the camera, snapping many photos which will be treasured always." (Freebirth after Caesarean Mother)
